Kindergarten students will begin in a staggered start manner August 10 - 12.  Parents of kindergarten students will receive a letter indicating which day their child's staggered start day.  All students will come to school every day starting August 15.
Class lists will be available July 28,2016. Please make sure you register your child for kindergarten, including required documents, turn in your child's up to date immunizations and physical prior to July 20 in order for your child to be placed in a class.  Please call 904 259 0405 with any questions regarding kindergarten enrollment.

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Please see below immunization and physical requirements in order to prevent postponing your child’s admittance to school.


Students entering school for the first time will be required to have a fully-completed Florida Certificate of Immunization (Form DH680) on file with the Baker County School District
prior to admittance or attendance in public school. The following are the minimum requirements by
grade:
 
Pre-Kindergarten Kindergarten        
Four or Five DTaP-Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis* Four or Five DTaP-Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis*
Three HIB-H. Influenza* Three, Four, or Five Polio-Poliomyelitis*
Three, Four, or Five Polio-Poliomyelitis* Two MMR-Measles/Mumps/Rubella
One or Two MMR-Measles/Mumps/Rubella* Two Varicella (Chickenpox) or documentation of disease by a healthcare provider
Three Hep B-Hepatitis B

School Physical
All students entering school for the first time will be required to have a current (in the last calendar year)
physical form (DH3040 or similar) completed by a healthcare provider licensed in the state of Florida
to provide physical examinations, on file with the Baker County School District prior to admittance or
In addition, all students transferring from another state or country must provide a current physical
examination and current Florida Certificate of Immunization (Form DH680) prior to admittance or
attendance in school. Students transferring from within the state of Florida will be given 30 days to
provide documentation of a physical exam and current immunization status.

Through Florida KidCare, the state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working.

Registration for VPK 2016-2017 is February 22, 2016
Parents may apply NOW for the FLORIDA VPK program.  Certificates will take 1-3 days for approval.  The website is ecs4kids.org.  
  • After applying with the state, you must call Lisa ​Koburger at 904-259-3014, or Felicia at 904-259-0405 to reserve a seat in our program(s).
  • Mrs. Koburger can assist parents in uploading and/or printing certificates.  
  • Proof of residency can be a Driver Licenses (the address must match), or a utility bill in the parent's name and address you are registering with.
  • Proof of age is the child's birth certificate or shot record.

In order for an absence, tardy or check-out to be excused, documentation must be received in the attendance office within 5 school calendar days, as referred to on page 4 of your child's planner and in the Pupil Progression Plan that can be found on our website at www.pkk.bakerk12.fl.us. 
Transportation change
All children must be picked up through the car rider loop.  If you should have to check your child out, please do so before 2 p.m. If you need to change the way that your child goes home, please call the school by 2 p.m.  We appreciate your help. 

If your child is missing  jacket, please feel free to come and take a look in our Lost & Found located in the front office.
