FTE Week
Every child, every day.  Attendance Matters!

FTE Week is next week February 8 – February 12, 2016.
FTE (Full-time Equivalent) is generally defined as one student in membership in a program or a group of programs for 900 hours (25 hours a week) for a 180-day school year. The FTE calculation is based on two ninety day terms. Each student in membership and in attendance will earn one half (.50) FTE during each of two survey periods – Survey 2 (October) and Survey 3 (February).

Classes with perfect attendance, no tardies and no check outs will get a special treat from Mrs. C. Jones!

The Baker County Friends of Instrumental Arts group donated $1000 for musical instruments to the Baker County Pre-K/Kindergarten Center.  Ms. Heather Cales created an extra-curricular program called Kinder Rocks, in which selected pre-k and kindergarten students learn to use instruments such as bells and boom whackers to play music in the community and at the school board meeting.  Thank you for bringing the arts to our school!
Thank you to First Federal Bank
A Huge THANK YOU to First Federal Bank for donating $2500  for student Ipads.  The IPad is a versatile, powerful tool that is  changing the face of education with access to numerous  educational apps for all content areas of learning in pre-k and kindergarten.

PBS Suggestion
Respond to children's comments by asking questions and elaborating on what they say. In doing so children feel that they are important to us.
